On Wednesday, August 20th, the EctoHR team had the privilege of participating in the United Way Day of Caring. The Day of Caring is a one-day community service blitz to assist residents and non-profit organizations in need throughout Livingston County. The rising Michigan minimum wage

Michigan became the eighth state to enact a minimum wage hike when Governor Rick Snyder signed a law to increase the minimum wage to $9.25 per hour by 2018 and tie future increases to inflation. Under the new law, Michigan's minimum wage will rise to: • $8.15 on September 1, 2014 • $8.50 on January 1, 2016 • $8.90 on January 1, 2017 • $9.25 on January 1, 2018 On September 1, 2014 the minimum wage for tipped employees will be 38 percent of the regular minimum wage. EctoHR, Inc. is excited to announce that we have been asked to lead the 2014 Livingston County Compensation and Benefits Survey! Sponsored by the Howell Chamber of Commerce Foundation, this event gives us the opportunity to assist local businesses with benchmarking information for both compensation and benefits in the local area. Information provided through this survey will include salary and benefits statistics, trends for specific industries, and trends based on location.
